Should I buy every Assassin's Creed game or let kids die?

I know that I just literally spent 10 minutes trashing the Assassin's Creed franchise but... should I buy every Assassin's Creed game right now? I've played about 2 1/2 of the games in the series. Probably put about an hour with each game. Overall, I don't have many nice things to say about them. But maybe I should buy all of the games anyway?

You see, HumbeBundle.com is having an Assassin's Creed sale. If you're not familiar with the site, Humble Bundle groups similar games together and sells them to you for dirt cheap. This is how I ended up the proud owner of games like Dropsy, 9 different You Don't Know Jack's, and a bunch of bad Sonic games. Is now the time for me to pull the trigger on a bunch of Assassin's Creed games I won't want to play?

I mean, they're pretty much all there. For as little as a dollar I can get 3 spin-off games that seem alright and the first game that nobody really liked. That's pretty good, I guess.

And if I beat the current average price of $7.65 I can get 2 average games and one game people liked. That's worth my money, right?

If I'm feeling extra hypocritical I can pony up $15 to get the widely hated Assassin's Creed Unity and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (I already have it on my PS3 but I'd like to also not play it on my PC).

$15 nabs you an endless supply of nightmares. Image via Gamespot.

What a conundrum! I'm torn between spending money on a franchise I have mostly negative feelings towards or... not spending any money at all.

And the cherry on top of this pickle I'm in? If I don't buy all of the Assassin's Creed games people may die. You see, Humble Bundle does not simply score me a bunch of games that I'll never play. It also gives me the chance to put on my Pompous Hat and tell strangers that "I donated $1.56 to charity today." A portion of all of your money goes to the less fortunate. The Assassin's Creed Bundle is tied to two charities: CEKEDUBONHEUR and Pablove. CEKEDUBONHEUR is French and impossible to read. However, I think it's safe to assume that French lives are at risk if I don't buy all of the Assassin's Creed games today. And Pablove has the words "childhood cancer" in their slogan so you know you're a dick if you don't give them money with Assassin's Creed purchases.

Do you understand what kind of pressure I'm under? My computer can probably only run half of these games decently. And if we're really being honest with each other today, we both know my computer won't be running any of them if I spend any money on this bundle.

So what should I do? Do I act like I never said a disrespectful word about this open-world-collect-a-thon of a franchise and buy all of the games? Or should I just tell kids with cancer that my money is just too precious for them to touch it?

This is the hardest decision I have ever had to make. So I'd prefer to just not make it. Please help me decide how to handle this situation. Please vote on the future of my Steam collection/children's lives.

I know you will do the right thing here. There are 9 games that won't be played on the line here. Nine. Oh, and thousands of lives too. Don't forget about that.
